Now, I am writing true, exciting adventure novels for middle grade readers containing never-before-written-about episodes that will cause: …awesomeness! one's heartbeat pounding in both ears! …butterflies wingbeating stomach walls! …fingernail-biting S U S P E N S E mixed with laughter and tears during a time of long ago but never forgotten.

About the Author

Born to Violet and Wayne Button in 1928, I was the middle of five children--a perfect place to do numerous things with my two older sisters, Iva Laviece and Ella Marie, and to enjoy playing with Wayne and our baby, Dollie Donzella. Following basic education at Scarritt School, NE Junior High School and, due to the rent freeze in 1941 and moving, Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri, I attended the Kansas City Art Institute and School of Design for three years before moving to California where, between marriage and raising three children, I attended California State University at Long Beach and became a highschool teacher of English for 30 years teaching Creative Writing, English grammar, composition, literature, Public Speaking and Art.
