About the Author
Vic Bodine recalls he first became aware of his love for the written word while stationed at Butler University in Indianapolis at the behest of the Army Air Corps during WWII. When transferred to a Muskogee, Oklahoma airfield for pilot training, he volunteered to co-edit the base newspaper. “When that first edition came off the press, needless to say I was hooked.” A thirty-year career that covered every facet of the newspaper business followed the war years. Some of Vic’s short fiction, essays and columns have appeared in regional magazines and newspapers. His first novel-length work, “The Search for Winter Run” was completed in 1999, and a collection of short stories is on the front burner at this writing.
