About the Book

The discovery of a dead high school quarterback in a dumpster behind a convenience store triggers a manhunt involving the Tampa Police Department and a private investigator hired by the victim´s mother. The hunt for the killer sends them on a wild chase up and down Florida´s Sun Coast. Tracking down the killer takes the pursuers from the immaculate neighborhoods of North Tampa to a shack in the mangroves located on the site of a now-defunct religious commune south of Fort Myers. From golf course communities to rough and tumble fishing villages, Murder on the Sun Coast takes its readers on a trip to a side of Florida not found in most tourist brochures.

About the Author

Dave Tomasko, Ph.D., is a marine biologist from Southwest Florida. His work has taken him to Alaska, the Caribbean, and the Phillippines. In addition to numerous technical publications, he has also published fictional short stories in Feathers, Fins and Fur and Earth Beneath, Sky Beyond. He and his wife, Patty, live in Tampa with their two Labrador Retrievers and a cat that hates Dave. Since his favorite rental plane crashed, he no longer flies. Instead, he and his wife restrict their adventures to boating and scuba diving in the nearby Gulf of Mexico. This is his first novel.
