About the Book

The poems in this book represent a passionate belief in and love for this world. They challenge us to have the proper attitude toward our imperiled world: nobody owns this planet earth and we have the right to be here as well as demand that there be Peace on this Earth and Goodwill towards Men, Women, and Children.

About the Author

ibn Kenyatta was born in 1945 in Prichard, Alabama - a small impoverished town in Mobile (County), Alabama. In his high school year book, he was voted "Class Artist". Following high school graduation, he joined family members in Harlem and Brooklyn, New York where he began writing poetry and essays. He also began drawing - producing a striking body of art work in charcoal, pen and pencil. ibn believes the artist must create "even from the dungeon of a cell": he has been incarcerated in New York State since 1974.
