Book Description

Colonel Karl Gray has many obligations to handle at one time. As a retired military operative, he is expected to assist the Department of Defense track down stolen weapons filtering from Earth to Amlydar. As Lord-Protector of Amlydar, he has to find and punish the Amlydarians who would upset the fragile balance of power.

The Graywolf returns to Amlydar with Nick Quinlan, Army Ranger Captain, and Samantha Mallory, USAF, and together they trek from the Sacred Mountains to the port city of Tash while encountering old friends and old enemies on the Watchtorr Road.

Northern Amlydar is gripped by a civil war between Imperator Nargon, with his Parwin Legions, and the Federation Army of the DeCrown Commonwealth. The two sides are locked in a grinding stalemate, while knowing that victory depends on the return of the Lord-Protector.

Elsa DeCrown, Queen of the Commonwealth, takes steps to find and assist the Graywolf in returning to Amlydar.

Nargon II has retained the retired Lord High Executioner, Teddy Karma, to settle the Graywolf question once and for all.

In the background, Ancient Alchemist Valocer prepares to strike at all who support Karl Gray’s claim to rule of Amlydar.


About the Author

Cliff Farides wrote his first novel during his sophomore year in high school. As he grew older and roamed across the United States, he continued to write unpublished novels and polished his skills. In 1985, he earned a BA in History from Mansfield University and went on to earn graduate degrees in Library Science and Instructional Technology. He began writing the Amlydar series while working full time as a library consultant in north central Pennsylvania and attending the Institute for Interactive Technology at Bloomsburg University.
