ABC AND BEYOND is not just a book; the author used his scientific background to create a tool to use when beginning to teach reading for children. Every letter in this book is either described and illustrated or drawn in some meaningful manner to have them imprinted in children's memory. The illustrations provide some fun but do not distract their attention from visually memorizing the letters flagged in red. The author combined visual images of the letters in bold, red color and funny figures with descriptions of the letters in rhyme together with rhymed phrases to help children memorize them also by sound. He even added rhymed samples of most basic rules of pronunciation so that children could start reading other books as well. This combination of sights and sound creates lasting impression that helps children achieve high level of reading skill.
