About the Book
The leader of a sinister cult is visited by an evil entity called Phythus. Lukur and his brethren join Phythus in a twisted plot against humanity. This corrupt union does not go unnoticed. A forsaken god named Lhimitas hears the cries of his people and sends a messenger to their aid. Teva searches endlessly for his "Chosen Ones." He bestows a ministering spirit to each of his followers. One such follower is a tall, strong and serene man named Peadar.
After Peadar and his colleagues learn the severity of their task, Teva sends them forth to fight the forces of transgression. Each of Teva's 'Chosen Ones' are placed in strategic locations throughout the world. Peadar's role takes him to the troubled kingdom of Caldonia where he becomes a knight of the realm, and the Queen's Knight Protector.
Siobhan, Queen of Caldonia, is in the midst of chaos and welcomes Sir Peadar's help. The dark-robed priests of the Amar-Sha Order, led by Lukur, have boldly set their eyes on Siobhan's throne. Peadar and his fellow knights police the kingdom to restore order.
On a mission for the queen, Peadar travels north to the district of Cal'Turin. He discovers a vile enemy of lifeless warriors that have destroyed the army of Lord Orkanin, the man he seeks. Six of the evil minions attack Peadar's group. Calling forth his ministering spirit, Orla, the brave knight defeats his unknown enemy. Orla informs Peadar that the creatures are soulless priests of the Amar-Sha Order called the Void.
Back at the palace, Peadar reports to Siobhan what they had discovered. The queen is shocked at the mention of the Void. Siobhan decides that her and Peadar should speak with the high priest of Gineera, a chubby ambitious man called Jakor. After a memorial service for one of his fallen knights, Peadar takes a ride into the city proper. He sees a dark-robed priest entering a rundown tavern and decides to investigate. Peadar discovers that the priest is Jakor's right-hand man, Vorin. Peadar's persistence is rewarded when he learns that Vorin had sent thieves to Cal'Turin to recover an ancient piece of parchment, which they failed to attain. Peadar further learns that the Amar-Sha Order is placing considerable value in this parchment.
Peadar discusses the parchment with Zalek, Siobhan's chief advisor. Zalek agrees to look into the matter and discovers a parchment had been written nearly three millennia ago for a group of people who were the first to worship a god. This god is said to be the god of light known among his people as Lhimitas. However, Lhimitas felt they were too simplistic to unleash the scroll's power. He instructed them to guard it until such time, as they were ready. The guardians grew arrogant and sinful. Lhimitas destroyed his worshippers and tore the scroll into three segments and encased them in gems. Peadar felt a connection to what Zalek had told him about the parchment Vorin had been looking for.
The following morning Peadar and Siobhan traveled to Jakor’s Amar-Sha temple. They learn that Jakor is very reluctant to answer their questions concerning the Void and particularly the parchment. They further believe the Amar-Sha Order is plotting something of monstrous proportion.
Siobhan summoned her council of advisors to discuss the problem. A royal visitor from another land, Prince Egan of Pacu, interrupted their discussion. The young prince informed the council of similar tales regarding the Void in his homeland. The council is stunned when Egan discloses the Voids schemes in Pacu. Siobhan urges the young prince to relay any information about the Void that can help their efforts to defeat the evil horde.
Egan recalls that the warriors wearing blue-silver armor had the most effect against the evil minions. The queen decides a trip to Cal'Turin to collect blue-silver is in order. She sends Peadar and several knights to Pacu with Egan via Cal'Turin. Egan and his band of countrymen and Peadar accompanied by a detachme
