About the Book

Branta the Goose is faced with a problem at the birth of her young. She does not know what to name her hatchling and sits at two roads of thoughts, trying to decide: to travel around the farm to ask the other animals for help— Or to just sit down on her other eggs and do nothing. Come along with Branta the Goose on her journey. Meet the characters she faced while trying to reach her goal. See what you have in common with Branta the Goose as she persists over a self-centered sheep, a rude dog, an infuriated cat, and an unfriendly, busy pig. See why she eventually broke down and cried. Reflect on how you treat your friends when they ask you for help. This book is about using persistence to face hurdles. Every child who reads should have the word persistence in their vocabulary because every living creation—person, animal, or tree—has a hurdle they are trying to get over to reach a goal. Only with the discipline of persistence, no matter what is in the way could be moved out of the way, in order for one to achieve their goals.

About the Author

My fondest childhood memory is having my mother read at bedtime a story of a king called Solomon judging over a case of two women with two babies; who lived in the same inn but a tragedy had come upon one of the babies through its mother. This mother insisted deceitfully to the king that the baby who faced the tragedy was not hers. The other woman persisted with motherly love and heartfelt courage and showed the king why the baby who faced the tragedy was not hers. The persistent mother won the case and won her baby whom the king had ordered to face a tragedy like the other baby. As a poet, I am enamored with reading. I feel that words are like magical spells when used essentially to paint and inspire a blank mind. That I vow to instill the love of reading into my baby Ruach-El. To inspire her to grow persistent in positive thoughts. To color her life and paint the world with some of the enchantment I got from my mother: who always persisted to read to my brother and I as babies.
