About the Author

J.P. Allen's work has been hailed by critics in Los Angeles, Chicago and Denver as “marvelous”, “stunning and breathtaking”, “poignant and thrilling”. His produced plays include – SEX AND IMAGINING, THE CASINO, THE CITY, THIEVES, TORNADO ULTRA, THE DISAPPEARING and others. He is the author of two novels and over twenty plays. Also a filmmaker, he wrote and directed the independent feature film, COFFEE AND LANGUAGE, which had its US Premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival where it was a nominee for the Golden Starfish Feature Film Award. He is currently directing a new independent feature film, GAMBLING, based on his novel.
