About the Author

Born on a reservation, just south of where Sitting Bull was killed and just north of the Wounded Knee massacre, Lou Mitchell was raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He attended the University of SD before going to the Korean war as a Marine. While in the service he made a transition to radio broadcasting, and as a news reporter for radio and tv, after an honorable discharge , worked in many areas of the U. S. where he “saw it all, from corruption to murders to riots.” He has spent years in the Orient, earned a BA in communication, and lives with his wife near St. Louis.
