About the Book

Jack was ready for Christmas. He was the first to spot the Santa Claus at the mall. He knew the names of all the reindeer by heart and was quite fond of singing Christmas songs. Yes, Jack was ready for Christmas all right, but there was only one small problem. Jack was Jewish.

And so begins, Ho Ho Hanukkah. A light-hearted, humor filled story, which deals with the very real challenges faced by Jewish children and their families during the holiday season. Jack is surrounded by all the fantastic imagery of Christmas and longs to take part in its celebration. To him, the eight nights of Hanukkah pale in comparison. So Jack’s mother and father devise a hilarious yet loving plan to give Jack just what he thinks he wants… Christmas.

The sprit and message of this book will resonate with children and their parents of all religious denominations. Finding the true meaning of the holidays amidst all the tinsel and toys reinforces the themes of family traditions and togetherness, which now, more than ever, are close to all our hearts.
