About the Book
Poetry Unto To God and Other Observations In Life is a combination of love letters to God, thoughts about mother nature, family, relationships, social issues, and life, in general.
The goal of this book of poetry is to hopefully, bless and uplift you, and also, to enable you to think about the important things in life, including God's love and majesty, His beautiful creations, your own thoughts, and what really matters to you.
About the Author
Barbara Carr is a social worker and also a Christian counselor. She enjoys writing poetry and philosophical prose, and has discovered that it is a creative way to channel stress. In 1993 Ms. Carr founded Love of My Life Ministries, a juvenile hall correspondence and newsletter ministry, which has included letters and poetry submitted by the incarcerated. Ms. Carr earned her bachelor's degree in social science and criminal justice in 1982, and her master's degree in marriage, family and child counseling in 1993 from San Francisco State University, located in San Francisco, California. She also studied at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, located in Mill Valley, California, and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors ( AACC. ) Ms. Carr is also the author of Miracles From God Journal ( Xulon Press, 2004. )
