About the Book

What inspired me to write this book was the connection I have had with children all my life. Ever since I was a kid, children would follow me, hang around me, and want to be in my presence. I believe they feel comfortable and safe. Throughout the years I have had many opportunities to work with children fi rsthand. I have seen and heard things that were attimes unbelievable. Stories about what happens in their homes, stories about what was going on in their lives, some believable and others somewhat questionable. Nonetheless, all the stories were worth listening to and all worth lending an ear. Since I care a great deal about children, I felt that in the best interest of the children it would be wise to let some of their stories be heard. So often the laws in this country make it so a child cannot freely express their true feelings to just anyone. Children have inspired me to write this book to let the world see life through the eyes of some children. Be it good or bad, be it happy or sad, this book just might inspire you to take a moment out of your busy day and listen to a child. Take a day and spend it with a child. They are so full of life. They are funny, cute, and smart. They can teach us not to forget what it is like to be a kid again. They are a gift from God. We should treasure the gift that has been given us. Take a minute and be inspired by a child; it will make your day.
