About the Book

"Goose Gander: How to Cross a Street" is about a Goose that follows his daily routine to get to his favorite bridge. It describes in detail just about everything involved in crossing a street. Goose Gander also carries a comfort item and confronts things like loud noises, things most autistic children deal with on a daily basis. About the Author

Feel free to visit my facebook page: Goose Gander How to Cross a Street Catt lives happily in Boise, Idaho, USA with her husband & children. She adores animals and birds. Her first book, Goose Gander, was inspired by her son’s request, “Will you please record my pretend for me. I’m afraid I’ll forget when I grow up.” And by an add a teacher posted online, asking for short stories to encourage one of his student to start talking and reading again. She began her first story about Goose Gander with the subject of crossing a street. As Catt educated herself about autism and many other childhood disorders she added the subject of comfort items and re-wrote Goose Gander taking into consideration what she had learned about autism and other childhood disorders. Goose Gander is written for all children, with teachers and parents in mind. Her book entertains while teaching about colors, numbers, shapes, differences, hot and cold, senses, shadow, goals, directions, safety, what familiar means, seasons, coping skills for loud sounds. What a comfort item is, and most important of all, how to cross a street!
