About the Book

The Coffee Shop is a a collection of poetry that expresses love from a multitude of perspectives. Those being through feelings of the heart, mind, body and soul. These are timeless pieces that encompasss the very essence of love on every level. These writings are meant to inspire, encourage, and enlighten the masses. My ultimate desire is that my audience comes to experience the enjoyment and enlightment from my writings, just as I the architect of these works, did in creating them.


About the Author

Alray Fulwood was born in Mayesville, South Carolina, on August 23, 1968. At a young age, and with his father (the late Marel Fulwood, Sr.) being in the US Army, he and his mother, Bernice Fulwood, resided in Germany with his father for several years before returning to the United States and taking up residence in Washington DC. After a couple of years in Washington DC, the family relocated to Prince Georges County where he attended school in the Prince Georges County school system. After high school he furthered his education by attending and completing the Automotive Technology curriculum offered at Lincoln Technical Institute. Alray considers himself to be a jack-of-many; master of none, kind of person. In that, he is certified in both Automotive Technology and Auto Body repair. He is also certified in Cooking and Baking, as well as, Computer Technology. He posesses and utilizes his multitde of talents and abilities in the areas of music engineering and production, and also plays keyboards and writes music. His love for writing music is what inspired his love for poetry, and ultimately his penning this collection of works found in his debut novel "The Coffee Shop." Alray is a father, son, uncle, nephew, and grandfather, and has a deep love for family. He takes great interest in the promoting and fostering of family values. And while he also enjoys traveling, bowling, and experiencing different cuisines, his greatest passion is expressing his thoughts and feelings through the power of words.
