Don’t Cry Gertrude

About the Book

Poor Gertrude is recovering from a terrible car accident and longs to be reunited with her much loved stuffed animals, lost in the accident, and with her Dad who gave her the animals and is still serving far away in the military. The animals also long to be reunited with Gertrude. They are all trapped in an automobile in a dangerous, scary scrap yard. With the help of a caring construction worker, all are reunited, including Gertrude’s dad. Children will understand the longing felt for missed loved ones, and delight at the sheer happiness that comes with reuniting once again.

About the Author

James is an Iron Worker in New York. True Events, at his job site inspired this story. Lori is James’ sister. She is a married mother of four now grown children. For the past 13 years she has worked as a paraprofessional in a kindergarten classroom. May Tai has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. She now resides in New York working on various art projects.
