About the Author

Edward Golda has taught on all levels from elementary school to university. He has a B A. from Seton Hall University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Université Laval, Québec, Canada. Golda has also studied in other countries namely: France, Poland, Italy, Spain, Austria and Mexico. He was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Colombia, South America. Golda, a World War II veteran, is now retired and lives in his native New Jersey. This book is the result of information gathered, but not used, for a former book on the dedicatees of La comédie humaine. This present work should be of interest to people doing research on Balzac or just anyone interested in what is covered in this voluminous oeuvre.
