Jarvis Adams Air Force Career led him through a variety of experiences. He flew C-119s to Big Delta, an Army Artic test center in Alaska, to where the temperature was so cold it was a challenge to get the airplane started. In Hawaii he flew planes whose mission was to make midair recoveries of satellite nose cones containing pictures of Russian military installations. Carrying troops and materiel in C-130s to hot spots in Vietnam, his greatest challenge was flying into the Marine Base at Khe Sahn during the first Tet Offensive in 1968. He ended his Air Force career with a Harvard MBA and a wealth of experiences in the office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as a military secretary.
