About the Author

Born in Wisconsin, Jim moved to Florida in 1975. After retiring in 1995, he now divides his time between Florida’s westcoast and the Appalachian Mountains of north Georgia. A biology major in college, writing was not his ambition. One significant job was as a hypnotherapist, where he became fascinated with the mind. Working for the state mental health division, Jim saw people who confused fantasy with reality and occasionally he would think, What if? He was required to write factual reports. The first one was tersely rejected. Obviously these facts needed sanitizing. Thus began Jim’s creative writing career in fiction.
