About the Book
WILD BIRDS –Field Notes of a Wildlife Psychologist is a gallery of one hundred black and white drawings of imaginary birds. Elegant in its simplicity and invention, every drawing is accompanied by a poetic meditation that turns into a psychological lesson about life which each bird has to teach. Written and illustrated by author, graphic artist, and psychologist Carl Pickhardt, the book becomes a field guide to human nature that both pleases the eye and provokes the mind to thought.
