About the Author

Gayle Alstrom grew up in Los Angeles, California, but since 1985 has lived in Staten Island, New York. After graduating from Richmond College on Staten Island with a B.A. in humanities, she worked in a multitude of occupations including bartender, secretary, journalist and photographer while developing her novel. Ms. Alstrom took the cover photograph on the set of the TV drama series Fame (1984).
