About the Book
I have written an essay challenging people to think about reproduction more objectively before conception, with the heart being the number one thing needed to be a good parent. I have attempted to define what the parent and the child bring into and offer the family. I have made numerous suggestions about behaviors that can enhance the parent-child relationship with many personal antidotes from my own life as I weave my story through the tale of one day in my life with my children, my parent’s children, my step-children and a foster child.
About the Author
I was actively involved in the raising of eight children. I worked hard to get an education in English, Psychology and Education. I became inspired to write this essay because of my frustration as a working parent and because of the chaos I discovered among the students in the public high schools. There must be some way to have thoughtful dialogue and to receive the information we need to be good parents. I have tried to pool my knowledge into a coherent, cohesive and challenging stimulus for growth and understanding of the infant and younger child by anyone considering having a child.
