The book chronicles the story of a Christian grandmother and the many people and miracles that filled her life. Her roots begin in Houston, Texas in 1929 and the excitement of being the daughter of a successful pilot with his own Flying Service Business. A sad twist of fate changed her happy life to one of fear of a jealous stepfather. Many people had a part in her development as her dreams and values soared. God showed her the way to a Christian college and there she found her future husband. After an Air Force career they began a life together that included teaching and school administration, running a ranch, traveling and always being a part of the local church. They were blessed with two talented children and seven grandchildren, to whom this book is addressed. Retirement at beautiful Horseshoe Bay, Texas on Lake LBJ in the Texas hill country is the culmination of 50 years together.
About the Author
Born in Texas during the Depression of 1929 to a famous Southwest pioneer pilot who died when she was six and then raised with two siblings by a hardworking mother and jealous stepfather. Through Christian grandparents and dedicated Christian friends Jimmie Mae Davis finds the Lord. Through His guidance and miracles she attends a Christian college, marries a Christian man and together they begin a Christian home, enter the teaching profession, raise two children, who later give them seven grandchildren. Their love of the Lord, their family, travel and adventure create an exciting life.
