About the Book
The four books of the Bible covered in this volume are some of the least read because of the repetitious descriptions of construction projects, lists of laws, and rules for ritual observances. In this volume I have gleaned the story of each major character and group of people to help the reader get a concentrated view of each and their relationship as well as their reactions to the presence of God. My hope is that, by reading the events related here, you will be encouraged to think more deeply about your personal relationship with God.
About the Author
Veda Tohline grew up during the depression years on a small farm in south Louisiana where each family member was involved in the planting and harvesting of crops. In spite of their poverty, however, her parents were determined their children receive a college education, so she and her sisters commuted by schoolbus, to Southeastern Louisiana College... a ride of one hour each way six days a week. After graduation, she taught school for three years, then married a young ministerial student and devoted her time to rearing their three children. When the children entered school, she returned to her teaching career. Veda has found writing poetry a satisfying way of putting her faith into words and it has become, in retirement, a means of communicating with her many friends across the country. The poems included in this book provide insight into the way God’s Spirit permeates every facet of life. As humans, we tend to see only the worldly view, depending on our own wisdom and insight, which hinders our enjoyment of the true riches of life attainable through faith. As you consider the truths shared here in poetic form, you will be led to see, more clearly than before, how involved God is in every aspect of your life.., how he has planned the universe to meet your every need. You will also find your mind opened to new possibilities for the fulfillment of your joy and satisfaction in living.
