About the Book

Marcos Movement is the story of Subcomandante Marcos, an important figure of the Indigenous Movement in Mexico who has refused to be seen as a key protagonist. This book was created with the idea that people – especially children - should know what Marcos has done for others.

El Movimiento de Marcos es la historia del Subcomandante Marcos, figura importante del Movimento Indígena en México que se niega a ser tomado como protagonista crucial. Este libro se creó con la idea de que la gente – en especial los niños - sepan lo que Marcos ha hecho por otros.

About the Author

Patricia Ayala is a Mexican writer and artist. She decided to illustrate her story inspired by the Mexican ancient manuscripts. She is currently living in New York with her husband and daughter. Patricia Ayala es una creadora mexicana. Illustró su historia inspirada en los manuscritos antiguos de México. Actualmente vive en Nueva York con su marido y su hija.
