About the Author
The daughter of American Congregational Missionaries in India, the author spent her early years there. She grew up in the town of Rahuri, went to missionary schools at Kodaikanal and Woodstock, lived in India and loved it. When she left India in 1939 she thought little of it for 50 years. She survived WWII, college, a science teaching career and being a ministers wife. When the opportunity to return to India came in 1995, she undertook the trip with a certain amount of trepidation. Namaste and Farewell is the story of that undertaking, and Barbara Scott’s invitation to us to share the journey.
