About the Book

"Rio Speaks," is a story about telephone etiquette and safety skills. A young boy saves his mother´s life with the help of Rio, an intelligent black poodle, that can speak to and be understood only by children. When David´s mother tumbles down a flight of stairs and is knocked unconcious, he is able to remain calm and with Rio´s aid, call 911 and get help. David´s etiquette class taught him how to use the telephone when there was an emergency. Help arrives and they get his mother to a hospital. David (and Rio) are heros.
