About the Book
Carlan Ferris thinks 2263 is a terrible year to be twelve. The earth is losing its atmosphere and the remaining inhabitants live in domed city-states.
On a trip with the Junior Space Scouts to the planet Veron, Carlan meets Lex Demonte. Together they stumble into a hidden valley populated by golden-skinned young people who are marooned there. Their leader, Estella, is from the planet Mirana in another galaxy.
After helping Estella escape from the valley, Carlan and Lex embark on a series of adventures which lead them to the highly advanced civilization of Mirana and back to Earth.
Can Earth's climate be restored? Will the Mirans help?
