About the Book

Strong Suits is a saga which describes how an escaped slave named Chokra reacts, overreacts, and finally comes to grips with her new found freedom. This action novel is set on a "distance ship," in thetwenty-third century. Through the guidance of the crew of DS524, she begins to understand the power of love and compassion that allows her to evolve into the vibrant young woman she was meant to be.

About the Author

Donna J. Smyth Donna Smyth was born in Philadelphia, PA, in 1954. She has written several short stories, novels, and poems that reflect the wisdom and insight gained from over 30 years experience in martial arts training. She has published her first two books, Strong Suits and In Time. Now she proudly introduces her third book, The War. This Renaissance woman has earned a masters in the healing art of Reiki, she’s an accomplished flautist, and enjoys teaching T'ai Chi, Pilates, and especially Judo at her school in Lansdowne, PA.
