About the Book

The skytower building, rising one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine feet into the Manhattan sky, was the dream of wealthy industrialist Anthony giddens.  On the top floor is the Penthouse Restaurant, where the rich and famous dine in elegant splendor.  New Year’s eve, Deceember 31, 2001, was the birthday of Anthony Giddens wife, Eugenia.  He closes the restaurant to the public and is going to throw his wife a magnificent party.  Despite the fact that the National Weather Service has issued a bulletin predicting a massive snow storm for the New York City=New Jersey area.  Giddens private jet in Chicago is bringing several guests to the party, including the architect Theodore Xakis, a young man who suffered a nervous breakdown while the Skytower building was being built, but has since recovered and works in Gidden’s chicago office.  As the plane nears New York City, Xakis forces the pilot to ram into the Skytower Building.  This causes havoc with the Penthouse Restaurant and chaos follows.
