About the Book
The nature poems found in Such Is Beauty Ever reflect the author´s experiences in the wilderness. Mr. Wilson´s observations of nature are seen through Thoreauvian eyes. Some of the poems also hint of a Robert Frost or even a Don Quixote! Through his poems, Mr. Wilson shows a great love of beauty. He wants to see beautiful natural areas as Thoreau´s woods north of Boston, the Adirondack Mountains, Cape Cod, the tropical island of Virgin Gorda or Virginia´s Blue Ridge preserved forever. Mr. Wilson shows a personal relationship with nature in his poems. In summary, many of the poems in Such Is Beauty Ever give ample reasons why the Earth is such a unique and beautiful planet. But it is also fragile and in danger of being destroyed by environmental abuse. The book begins with the epic type poem The Voyage of the Earth showing the evolution of the planet from creation to the present time. The over one hundred and seventy-one poems that follow give a concise and closer look at the many natural wonders of the Earth.
