About the Book

Sam Jacobsen returns to America after a disappointing visit to his childhood home. His expectations are dashed when his lover is murdered and the gold he had expected to find is non-existant.  He acquires a nemesis, a Cossack soldier, who is seen intermittantly thoughout the book and is overcome in a smashing climax.

Sam works for and later becomes a partner to a gunsmith and a financier of the American Revolution.  As he searches for a wife, he travels through the Colonies from Massachusetts to the Carolinas and encounters a variety of experiences, from Lovemaking to Privateering.
