About the Book
This is a story about a vacation in Italy in which Martin, the primary character, inadvertently becomes involved in the search for a tomb that contains the key to unraveling the mysterious Etruscan language. But unknown to him, he runs afoul of two left-over Nazi collaborators who are also interested in finding the tomb but for a different reason; they hid a treasure stolen from Holocaust victims there in the final days of World War II. The search leads from one Etruscan ruin after another until it climaxes at one of the great tomb sites north of Rome. The trip, which began as a simple holiday, soon becomes something far more sinister than Martin anticipated when he arrived.
