Dr. Nicholas Symth is a retired thoracic and cardiovascular surgeon. Dr. Nicholas Symth was born in Ireland, where he began his training as a surgeon. His distinguished career as a surgeon and clinical researcher spans over 50 years in England, Ireland and the United States, where he now lives. Retired from surgery since 1986, Dr. Smyth was actively engaged in pacemaker research and development throughout his career. A widely published scholar and lecturer, Heartbreak is his first work of fiction.
