About the Book
This book tells the story of Niall, a gifted woodcarver, and his quest for his younger sister Brigit, lost six years before in a storm at sea as the family emigrated from Ireland to England. The search takes Niall and his friend Kynan from the Lake District in England to the south of Wales, in the company of the monk Kentigern. Difficulties face Niall as he searches for Brigit, including Kynan’s surprising decision. Luin, the stepdaughter of the wicked Lady Satrapa, becomes his friend. At the end he sets out for home, his life greatly changed.
