About the Book
The time is in the last decade of the twentieth century. Bill McGee, who Is an amateur Archaeologist, makes a discovery which requires him to learn the basics of several ancient languages before allowing him to step through a time warp and back into the first millennium BC. There he finds and follows two characters who dictate to him a series of fantastic stories and teach him much about the origin of some of todays modern names, including his own, McGee. These wild and fantastic tales began as follows: It is sometime in the eighth century B. C….Guy and Nils lead a group of Colonist from the Iberian Peninsula to a promising new land which lies across the western ocean. They think that they are the first to make an attempt at colonization, but soon after their arrival they begin to to uncover evidence that they are but last in a long line of such attempts. In addition to documents in the form engraved stones, they find, or are found by, a race of highly advanced people who claim to have been in the area for untold centuries. Nils, a Barbarian, who is also a highly educated Mercinary and Linguist, translates the stone writing and finds that people from Egypt, Canaan, Greece and The Mediterranean Islands had been coming to our shores for at least one thousand years before them.
