About the Book
Our farmer husband heading into Norfolk to the Livestock Show, is asked directions to the motels by LoLa, a woman from So.Dakota. There is immediate attraction, which culminates in five days of climactic ecstasy in three different motels. Their mutual interest in animals brings out in Richard his latent intellectual fascination with European philosophers. After Richard's death, LoLa kept alive the cherished memory of their affiar. After she reads the Bridges, and a short while after the death of her husband, she purchases the three motels, and contacts the two Johnson adults to tell her story. The two, thinking the story is so beautiful, decide to ask the author of their mother's adulterous frolic to write about their father's love with LoLa from So. Dakota.
