About the Book
The Trojan Horse is about the takeover of government by the right wing behind the presidency of George W. Bush. Bush is the central figure. His character is analyzed and domestic and foreign policies dissected. About one third of the book analyzes right wing doctrine, which is strangely unknown among voters, largely because the right chooses to keep it that way. Stinson makes the case that if many pro-Bush people understood how reactionary the right is, they would change their votes, for right wing policy is aristocratic, bigoted, undemocratic, and against the principles on which the country is based.
About the Author
John Stinson is a graduate of Princeton and Columbia Business School. He is a lifetime history devotee and keen observer of the political scene, specializing in understanding the current scene beyond what is available in the standard media. A former banker and investment manager, Stinson is particularly interested in corporate power, and how, if left uncontrolled, it subverts democracy and American tradition. To these ends, Stinson employs a questioning nature that tests standard news by the use of other sources, common sense, and an understanding of the peculiarities of the individuals involved.
