About the Author
Alexander Flint a native New Yorker, is a retired physical education teacher, coach of gymnastics, swimming and golf. He is the father of five who constantly amaze him with their accomplishments. He received a BS in physical education from Long Island University in 1962 and an MA from Kean University in 1975. His book, The Frozen Dozen, was such a success he wrote it into a play, described as hilarious. It was based on a world cruise he took on the Queen Elizabeth II in 2000 where twelve people died by the end of the four-month cruise. In addition to a career in education, Flint is a retired military officer serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Viet Nam Era. While in the Army, he was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence. He is currently working on Highway Odyssey, an autobiographical travelogue, based on the 24 summers he spent driving to Colorado, climbing the Rockies and looking for adventure. He found interesting characters along the way and matters of interest among the ranch families where he stayed. These events helped him understand his struggle with his own personal problems stemming from his rejection from a 15-year marriage.
