About the Author

Bruce Johnson has been performing as Charlie The Juggling Clown since 1974. He has incorporated clowning, magic, juggling, pantomime, puppetry, trick cartoons, and audience interaction into his performances. His experience includes six seasons with American Circuses and eleven years at the Raging Waters amusement park. Bruce wrote Comedy Techniques For Entertainers, contributed to Creative Clowning, and was a senior columnist for Laugh-Makers Magazine. Bruce has taught at the U-W Clown Camp ®, and at variety arts conferences throughout North America and in Europe and Asia. His honors include Laugh-Makers Magazine Contributor of the Year and World Clown Association Clown of the Year.
