About the Book

About the Author

About the Authors “Moshe” Murray Newman is a musician as well as a poet-philosopher, having taught piano professionally for most of his life, from age fifteen on. Along the way he has composed popular songs and piano compositions, some of which were recorded with orchestration by London, MGM, etc. After graduating from Brooklyn College with a bachelor of arts in music, he served three and one-half years in the U.S. Army Special Services Unit, TITA––“This is the Army” show—entertaining American soldiers around the world. A war song he co-authored with TITA. buddy Dick Burdick, “Lights Are Low on Main Street,” was recorded in London. Upon return to civilian life, he continued to teach piano while composing music and writing lyrics to his own popular and art songs. At the same time, he was developing his own literary style and craftsmanship as well as innovative thinking in the fields of philosophy, spirituality and metaphysics. His literary growth and development culminated in co-authorship with his son, Scott Nelson Newman, of Father and Son: Golden-Tongue Wisdom Book I, which this book follows. Scott Nelson Newman, a physician and a poet, also graduated from Brooklyn College, with a premedical degree. After receiving his doctor of medicine degree from Far Eastern Medical School in the Philippines, he did his residency-internship in the U.S.A. He studied piano with his father for ten years, demonstrating his creativity through an unusual ability to extemporize freestyle at the keyboard. For the past several years he has been exercising his literacy and creative talent in writing poetry.
