Traveling to Kenya for the first time, Michael Schneiders expected to see the wild animals of Africa, both, prey and predators, the struggle for survival and the never ending search for food, but it wasn’t lions and tigers that attracted his eye, but the half clothed, starving, street kids of Nairobi. Schneiders writes a compelling and humorous account of his two weeks in Kenya as he searched for new and innovative ways to address hunger, housing and education among Nairobi’s young generation. About the Author

Michael Schneiders’ passion for books and storytelling is the backdrop for a life that is full of diversity and adventure. He works for a California utility company by day, but fills his off-time with community service projects, is involved in youth soccer including an international traveling team, gives astronomy talks to middle school students, enjoys hiking and camping and runs distance races in Northern California. Following his life changing trip to Nairobi, Kenya, Schneiders started the Nairobi Street Kids Project. He lives in American Canyon, Ca with his wife, Patti and two kids.
