About the Book

An aging bootlegger from the Prohibition Era, a recovering addict who seeks meaning in his life and a teenager alienated from everything his father stands for unite in an effort to map a healthy transition to adulthood for the youngest of the three.

About the Author

Born in Detroit, S.G. Brook enjoys organizing grassroots activism on surface water issues in the Great Lakes area. He spent his childhood and adolescence with the Detroit River as it suffered through the worst levels of industrial pollution in the latter half of the Twentieth Century. His relationship with the Water-Spirits of the Great Lakes Basin is the inspiration for this story.
