About the Book
Dr. Forest Lewis takes a bold approach as he assesses the relationship of African-Americans and the Democratic Party. Dr. Lewis believes that Blacks are being duped by white democrats; and also by the likes of Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Julian bond. He says the aforementioned trio are in league with leaders of the democratic party. Dr. Lewis views Jackson, Sharpton, and Bond as the carriers of the democrats water. In return for their work of keeping “Their People” in the democratic fold, Dr. Lewis says “These House Negroes” are given perks. Dr. Lewis urges Black Americans to question their democratic representatives. He also asks Black people in a cogent fashion, if they think that they are better off today than forty years ago. Dr. Lewis says Blacks can break their “Mental Slave Chains” if they wish. He proposes that a first step would be to stop accepting everything that the democrats say to be “Gospel.” Next, he challenges African-Americans to open their eyes and start to “THINK.” “The Diary Of A Black Man Who Escaped From The Democratic Political Plantation” will force African-Americans to break their current lethargic sate of mind.
