About the Book

“Phoenix Dereaux's Legacy” is Part 2 of my first novel “Phoenix Dereaux”. Phoenix Dereaux's been dead for several years, but her Spirit is very much alive in the loved ones she left behind.

Phoenix would be very happy to know The Legacy is thriving. In order for The Legacy to thrive, women and children are still being abused. Phoenix wouldn't be happy about it, so it's like a double edged sword.

Many of your favorite characters are back in “Phoenix Dereaux's Legacy”, but they are older and trying to make it through life without getting so many bumps and bruises. Life isn't very easy for anybody these days, but the Human Spirit is durable and the characters in this book will prove it to you.

One thing is absolutely true – Things might change, people might come and go, but THE DRAMA REMAINS THE SAME.

About the Author

I am Libby Behn Irving, Author and Poet. Four years ago, I wrote my first novel, “Phoenix Dereaux”. “Phoenix Dereaux’s Legacy” is Part 2 and the conclusion of “Phoenix Dereaux”. My blood, sweat and tears are all over “Phoenix Dereaux’s Legacy”. It took me a very long time to complete this book, due to obstacles along the way. I almost quit because so many negative things were going on, but I’m not a quitter. Ultimately, everything I went through, brought forth a much better book. In the process of writing this book I have learned a lot about Human Nature, good and bad, including my own. I had to develop a tough skin and I learned to love myself first before I could expect to be loved by someone else. I have learned as long as I like what I do, that is the only thing that matters. If someone else likes it, that is an added bonus. I love reading, writing, listening to music of all types, watching horror movies, NBA, WNBA, college basketball, and tennis. I love sending birthday cards, note cards and letters to friends and family members. I love the rain and cold weather, dogs and birds, in particular, and nature, in general. I love spending time with my grandson and God children because they keep me young at heart. The Good Spirit has given me a wonderful gift, and I have put it to good use to the best of my ability.
