About the Book
Poetry is the language of the soul, illuminating and expanding our understanding of life. Ruth’s poetry is a lifetime compilation of passionately written phrases, often triggered by significant events, beloved friends and family. Her poetic expressions reveal her wildest joys and deepest loves, as well as her intense sorrows, which are tempered by faith and the joy of life.
About the Author
Ruth Glean Rosing (the former Ruth Grose Scates) was a scholarship student of Lotte Lehmann’s, and also studied with Paul Althouse in New York while pursuing a vocal career in oratorio, opera and concert. She was engaged as soloist for the centennial spectacular, The California Story by its composer and conductor, Meredith Willson. The director, Vladimir Rosing, discovered her talent for writing, and engaged her to write the scripts for the Oregon, Kansas and Arizona centennial pageants. She became associate director and producer to Rosing, and eventually became his wife. There was a great age difference and he passed away in 1963. Ruth has authored two books: Val Rosing, Musical Genius and Planetary Push-Ups and Random Traffic. She is one of the authors published in L.A. My Way, by Excellence Enterprises.
