Alan Beck was born in San Diego. He is a former United States Marine Corps Tank Crewman. He is a graduate of the University of California San Diego and the University of San Diego School of Law. He currently resides in San Diego. He spends most of his free time competing in a variety of marital arts under the Baret Yoshida Submissions/Undisputed banner.
