About the Author

G.T. Dempsey was a career American diplomat, 1973-94, serving in Madrid, Vienna, Geneva, The Hague, Dublin, and Caracas, and in the U.S. Army, 1965-68. He was educated at Berkeley, Harvard, and Oxford. He has previously published the novels Due Reward, Real Presence, In Good Time, In Those Days, A Few Practical Things, Each to Each, and Different Ways and the non-fiction From the Embassy.
