About the Book

About the Author

Kathryn Harriman has used the world of art, music and poetry most of her life, to unfold the inner wings of spiritual perception, her journey from early childhood into the unknown through several NDEs, into the open door to another world of Light... Soon after two years old she began painting water color images of angels, her concept of Divine Mother, then joined her older sister in drawing paper dolls, and designing their own coloring books and beautiful ladies, while her sister launched into scenes of nature. While Kathryn produced some oil paintings of small Italian-style lakeside villages, geese on the wing, and mustang horses in the wilds, she began focusing on Japanese Sumi-e when in her late teens, eventually producing striking designs of various flowers, animals, and even studies of meditating zen masters. The most interesting and colorful of her subjects are not only several nudes but her delivery of Geisha Girls in their bright gowns of many colors and patterns, most of which were sold, some displayed in beauty salons. One salon and modeling agency owned by Kathryn in Los Angeles with the title "The Geisha Girl" displayed a large painting over the front desk of Geisha ladies combing their hair. She has shown her work in public art galleries in Idaho, Utah and California, and is completing a large work related to one of the poems in this book.
