Maisy, the cat lives an idyllic life inside her happy home. When she befriends a stray cat not as fortunate as herself she learns the valuable lessons of caring, sharing and gratitude. Through the eyes of a cat, THE HAPPY HOME touches on compassion for others as well as the love, joy and selflessness that spring through adoption. (Profits from the sale of THE HAPPY HOME are donated to pet charities. To date, THE HAPPY HOME has raised more than $3,000 for animals in need.)

About the Author

Linda Dixon writes from her home in northeastern Connecticut’s Quiet Corner where she lives a happy life with her husband, Robert, and their much loved cat, Maisy. Linda’s love of nature inspires her to garden and to paint what she observes. An aunt to many, she began writing and illustrating stories simply to amuse her young nieces and nephews. Linda’s compassion for animals has led her to make greeting cards from her paintings to raise money for pet charities, local and nationwide. Her hope is that her first published book, THE HAPPY HOME, will aid these same causes.
